Details

My work is predominantly wood-fired, a term generally used to describe pottery which has been fired in a kiln fuelled with wood.  During the firing fly-ash from the fire is drawn into the chamber, settling and eventually melting to form a natural glaze on the surface of the clay.  These spontaneous effects give the pottery its uniquely vibrant look.
