Details

My creative journey formally began while studying architecture in Iran. Close to a decade later, after immigrating to Canada and establishing my life in Vancouver, I started exploring mixed media and acrylics. Over the past 9 years, inspired by poetry and prose, I have been creating deeply textured and layered paintings that aim to depict the ebbs and flows of life, the ongoing quest for meaning, and the longing for ‘safa’ or transcendence. My work is held in private collections in Canada, USA, the UK and Iran.
